Vice Deanship of Community Service and Environmental Development
Vision and mission
Community participation has a great role in developing the institutional capacity of the college to contribute to community service at the internal and external levels of the college:
* Community service at the internal level of the college is represented by a set of diverse activities and programs that serve faculty members, staff, students and workers through health and environmental awareness, seminars, specialized workshops and training programs for students. One of the most important roles of community service is to create a work environment with security and safety requirements to secure human cadres and facilities at the college, as well as communicate with its graduates to increase the bond between generations and contribute to providing job opportunities and raising their efficiency with continuous training to keep pace with the rapid technological development.
* At the external level of the college, the role of community service is to actively participate and provide services to civil society institutions and develop the surrounding community through joint cooperation in applied research projects and workshops to solve industrial and environmental issues, as well as organizing training programs for students in industrial and service institutions and qualified programs for the labor market. This cooperation is amplified by signing “protocols” of cooperation with these institutions that allow them to benefit from the expertise of the faculty members through the college's specialized units.
Tasks of the Vice Deanship
-Defining, implementing and following up the annual plan of the community service and environmental development program according to the needs of the community
-Holding training courses to enhance the skills of students and graduates
-Holding training protocols with different organizations
-Supervising counseling activities
-Taking care of public cleanliness, tree planting and beautification of the college
-Participating in providing job opportunities for graduates
-Preparing and implementing the annual employment forum at the college and participating in the employment forum at the university level
-Supervising the graduation ceremonies
-Sensitizing students to environmental issues and proposed solutions by organizing seminars in conjunction with youth welfare.
Achievements of The Vice Deanship
- Repairing and trimming the gardens and replanting them with ornamental and fruit trees with tree pruning.
- Discussing and finalizing the protocols of the college from concluding some protocols with external entities inside Egypt.
- Developing plans to market the new programs at the college Follow up the college's civil defense work.
- Restoration and rehabilitation of the columns of the architecture building and the entrance to the building.
- Restoration and painting the corridor of the workshop building Renovating and modernizing the college mosque and its annexes.
- Repairing electrical cables.
- Repair and rehabilitation of workshop machines at the college Garden benches were manufactured.
