Department message
Providing an academic environment at a high educational level to prepare distinguished graduates and pioneers in the field of architecture to develop scientific knowledge and creative skills to meet the requirements of society and the local and regional labor market through the application of quality standards to achieve local and regional competition.


Objectives of the department
-To provide graduates with a solid base of knowledge and understanding of the arts, sciences and technology in architecture with advanced professional education focusing on the fields of architectural design history and theory, technology and construction, environmental control and design, and city planning.
-Developing appropriate intellectual skills that provide the graduate with detailed analytical, synthetic and evaluative tools to provide the graduate with practical and professional skills that enable him to compete in the national and regional labor market.
-Develop the general and transferable skills needed to work in multidisciplinary teams and interact properly in the professional environment.
-Meet the needs and priorities of the surrounding community and work to develop the environment by preparing a generation of graduates capable of responding to those needs.
-Support and develop the capabilities of faculty, staff and students and provide a learning environment that leads to the formation of graduates capable of interacting with the engineering and professional community.
Graduate Specifications:
The department aims to graduate an engineer with the following abilities:
1- Applying knowledge of math, science and engineering concepts to solve engineering issues.
2- Design systems as components and processes to meet the required needs within realistic constraints.
3- Identify, formulate and solve basic engineering problems.
4- Use appropriate engineering techniques, skills and tools needed to practice engineering and project management.
5- Evaluate the effects of engineering solutions on society and the environment and emphasize the sustainability of built environments.
6- Creativity and mastery in the design of integrated architectural projects.
7- Has investigation skills, attention to detail, and the skill of building mental images.
8- Exercise the architect's role as a leader of design projects by understanding, synthesizing and coordinating all disciplines.
