Social Solidarity Fund Subsidies:
The Solidarity Fund Council meets at the college and is chaired by the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, with the following members:
- Two faculty members (selected by the College Council).
- The head of the college's technical youth welfare department.
Fund objectives:
- To provide social security in various forms.
- Contributing to the implementation of student services.
- Working to solve the problems faced by students in their studies due to their financial difficulties.
Fund resources:
- Student assistance fund fees paid by students.
- 20% of the fees allocated to the Student Union.
- Subsidies allocated to the fund.
- Donations accepted by the fund's board of directors.
Student Services:
The fund provides the following needs for students who are unable to afford them:
1. Payment of tuition fees.
2. Purchase of books at the lowest possible price at the college for special cases related to disabilities.
3. Purchase of school supplies or clothing in accordance with financial and inventory regulations.
4. Support and nutritional supplements.
5. Contribution to funeral expenses for deceased students in the amount of 300 pounds.
6. Purchase of prescription glasses up to a maximum of 200 pounds and cash support for students.
7. Purchase of prosthetic devices and motorcycles equipped for the disabled in accordance with financial and inventory regulations.
8. Present special cases to the college's Solidarity Fund Management Council with supporting documents, and the student will receive a maximum of 600 pounds. For critical emergency cases, disabled students, and integration cases that require more than 600 pounds, the Solidarity Fund will conduct studies and determine the amount of assistance according to the circumstances of each case, with supporting documents and stating the reason for exceeding the limit in special and critical cases.
9. Support for the graduation project for final-year students in the blind colleges, with a maximum of 500 pounds, provided that the amount is withdrawn in the student's name through electronic payment and postal Visa.
10. Students who have been expelled or suspended from abroad and the rest for retaking exams are not eligible, unless emergency circumstances arise for students after they enroll in the college (special cases), which are studied and presented to the college council and submitted to the Takaful Fund with the decision of the college council.
11. For special cases of extreme need (off-campus housing), support is provided at a rate of 200 pounds per month for a maximum of three months per semester, provided that the student submits a registered lease agreement and proof that they have been rejected by the city. Support is provided after the college reviews these cases and presents them to the Vice President of the University for a decision, provided that the amount is withdrawn in the student's name via electronic payment and postal Visa. amount in the student's name through electronic payment and postal Visa.
12. Tuition support and support for field training service fees may not be combined, except in cases of disability and integration.
How to obtain these services:
- The student obtains the form from the department.
- The form is returned to the department after it has been completed and approved by Student Affairs, specifying the type of assistance required.
- The form is submitted to the fund's board of directors for a decision on the assistance.
Documents required to obtain support from the Social Solidarity Fund:
- A social study from the social unit affiliated with the residence.
- Details of the parent's salary if they are working.
- Details of the pension if the father is retired.
- A statement of the pension value if the father is deceased.
- The original national ID card and a copy of it for guardians who are self-employed.
- A postal visa to support the project for undergraduate students.
